Hackers scan the Internet for WordPress sites with a particular vulnerability (in WordPress, a theme or plugin) that they can exploit. The goal is often to redirect your visitors to SPAM sites, where money is made from the number of views or clicks. With the visitors from one hacked site, those earnings are often not high, but if they manage to redirect all visitors from thousands of hacked sites, of course, those earnings quickly add up.

If you would like completely worry-free business, choose the WordPress maintenance & management - package. With this package, we move your site to our hosting platform, make it hack free at no charge and continuously provide all (security) updates. It is certainly possible! Even though all malware has been removed from your WordPress installation, your site can still be hacked again. This is because when you remove the hacked files, you don't fix the vulnerability (cause) of the hack.
Cleaning a WordPress installation is certainly not easy. If the malware is not removed correctly, chances are that the site will no longer work. Furthermore, it is important that all malware is cleaned up correctly and the vulnerability is closed, otherwise there is a good chance that your site will be hacked again.

No, absolutely not! For example, the backup you restored may already contain malware, even if it is not directly visible when you visit the site. If that vulnerability is also in your clean backup, your site will still be hacked again.
Unfortunately, this does not provide any assurance either. Updates to the WordPress core, themes and plugins may patch the leak, but do not fix the hacked files in your WordPress installation.

  • Scan, remove & secure: 90-day hack-free warranty: this warranty period is in effect as long as Surver has the ability to properly update or reinstall all plugins, themes and WordPress core.
  • WordPress maintenance & management: in the unfortunate event that your website is compromised, Surver will clean up the site free of charge. We will then consult with you to take preventive measures to avoid future security incidents.
Note: If the current hosting provider is unwilling or unable to cooperate, for example by improving the security of the hosting package or terminating a specific server process, we cannot guarantee our work.
When you host multiple WordPress sites on one package, there is a high chance that the malware will spread to other installations through the root folder. For this reason, we strongly advise against hosting multiple WordPress sites on one package, even though these packages are often very interesting financially.
To be sure that other sites within the package have not been hacked, we recommend having all WordPress installations preventively scanned for malware. If it turns out that one or more WordPress sites within the same package have also been hacked, we recommend having them included in our work as well.
