Why is my website so slow?
WordPress sites can be slow due to factors such as unoptimized images, too many plugins, poorly coded themes, slow hosting and unnecessary scripts. These elements tax the server, increase load times and diminish the user experience. An important factor is also choosing the right hosting party. Hosting on LiteSpeed servers, such as at Surver, significantly improves performance thanks to advanced caching and fast server technology. However, regular optimization and maintenance remain essential to keep your site fast and efficient.
How long will it take to optimize my site?
In most cases, it only takes 1 to 2 business days to optimize a website. In fact, we often finish the same day, making your website perform at lightning speed! This not only ensures a smoother experience for you, but also for your visitors.
How do you test speed and performance?
We use the independent performance testing tool GTmetrix. This tool provides a reliable way to measure website performance without changing the functionality or design of your site.
Am I stuck with a subscription?
All speed optimizations are one-time services. You pay once for the chosen optimization and no additional services are required. We take care of everything for you. If necessary, we'll ask you for input or permission to make a visual or functional adjustment for best results at no charge.
Can a Personal optimization be enough?
Sure! Maximum results depend on the amount of custom settings, features, plugins and other code in your website. Is your website already well built? Then the realized performance score is often significantly higher than our guaranteed score.
How long will my website stay fast?
This depends on the changes you make, such as large images, sliders or extended functionalities. You can safely modify menus, widgets or page content without losing speed. When adding new features, however, we cannot guarantee that the site will remain as fast as it was after optimization. Large images and external connections affect this the most.
What about external scripts and resources?
We cannot optimize external scripts directly because we do not have access to them. However, we do rewrite links and move resources to load them locally, which significantly improves performance. Are you using multiple tracking scripts? Then the minimum speed guarantee is voided, but your site will still be much faster. Satisfaction is guaranteed.
What about the Google Pagespeed?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee Google Pagespeed scores because Google uses algorithms that require drastic changes to your website content. At Surver, we don't see removing components as optimization because it gives a distorted picture. Therefore, we use GTmetrix as an independent testing tool and optimize your website for load time and speed. This has the biggest impact on conversions and lower ad costs.
Is the optimization on a no-cure-no-pay basis?
Yes, if we don't get the score equal to or better than the guaranteed performance on GTmetrix (London test site), you pay nothing. The cost is only for what we do guarantee. Do you use a lot of tracking scripts or external code? Please contact us in advance so we can estimate the speed we can guarantee in your case.
