Price changes for some services

As with many other businesses, rising costs are having a very big impact on operations. This year we are seeing the biggest increase ever on the purchase prices of energy, hardware and licenses. The very unfavorable Dollar/Euro exchange rate is also playing a major role.

Unfortunately, we at Surver are also forced to pass these increases on to our customers in the coming year. Therefore, for all existing hosting services, we will be implementing a limited price increase of between 8 a 10%. These will take effect on renewals made on or after February 1, 2023. Incidentally, this increase only applies to services billed monthly, quarterly or 6-monthly. For annual subscriptions, we will still apply the existing rate.

We are aware that these changes will affect your projects and/or clients, which is why we would like to inform you as soon as possible. We are very grateful for our cooperation and as you would expect from us, we will continue to do our best to help you quickly and competently in the field of WordPress, hosting, e-mail and domain registrations.

If you have any questions as a result of this post, please email directly to support@surver.nl.

In any case, we are already looking forward to a successful and beautiful cooperation in 2023!

Adjusted rates

The adjusted rates can already be found on our website:

  1. WordPress hosting - surver.co.uk/wordpress-hosting/wordpress-hosting-packs
  2. WooCommerce hosting - surver.co.uk/wordpress-hosting/woocommerce-hosting-packages
  3. Managed WordPress hosting - surver.co.uk/wordpress-hosting/managed-wordpress-hosting-packages
  4. Managed WooCommerce hosting - surver.co.uk/wordpress-hosting/managed-woocommerce-hosting-packages

Due to a registry price change (.NL) and unfavorable exchange rates, the purchase prices for Dollar related extensions (.COM, .NET & .INFO) have also increased significantly. Below are the adjusted prices (excluding VAT) for a registration or renewal on or after February 1, 2023.

  • .COM - €17.50
  • .NET - €17.50
  • .INFO - €25
  • .NL - €12.50

Frequently Asked Questions

As of when does the change go into effect? - The prices for new customers were introduced on November 1, 2022. For our existing customers, the new prices will become active on or after February 1, 2023, but only when a renewal is due for the service in question. If you paid for a service in advance until June 30, 2023, for example, you will not receive an invoice with the new rate until July 1, 2023.

I recently became a customer, what about for me? - All services ordered after Nov. 1, 2022 are already active under the new prices.

For which services are prices adjusted? - The new prices apply to all hosting related services; WordPress hosting, WooCommerce hosting, Managed WordPress hosting, Managed WooCommerce hosting and the Reseller WordPress hosting packages. Prices for the Managed (Performance) Cloud servers remain unchanged. The prices for registering or moving most domain names will also remain unchanged. However, we will change the registration fees for our customers who have previously purchased a domain at a discounted rate.

Can I renew my subscription for one year to take advantage of the discounted rate? - Yes, that is certainly possible! Please send a mail to support@surver.nl.

What about existing services? - If you have prepaid services up to a certain period, nothing changes. The new price only becomes active when you renew the service. For example, if you purchased or renewed a WordPress hosting package for 6 months on October 1, 2022, the new price will not become active until you renew this service on April 1, 2023.

Should you wish to take advantage of the discounted rate, it is also possible to renew your subscription for 12 months. Please send an email to support@surver.nl.

Where does the price increase come from? - Mainly from the large increase in energy costs, price increases for both hardware and software from our suppliers as well as the very unfavorable Dollar/Euro exchange rate. The latter applies to the many licenses (e.g. cPanel, LiteSpeed, Imunify, SpamExperts, CloudLinux, etc) in use for our infrastructure, which are mostly paid for in Dollars.
